Seed treatments to control Burkholderia glumae on rice seeds in the screenhouse

Abstract Burkholderia glumae is a rice seed-borne pathogen that cause severe yield which have impact to the food sustainability in future. As none of control methods was effective, seed treatment an alternative technique manage disease. This study aimed determine effective method using liquid smoke, clove oil, citronella oil and copper hydroxide fungicide against B. bacteria at screen house, Faculty Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara, Medan, from December 2020 May 2021. used completely randomized design (CRD) non-factorial with 10 treatments, including positive control, negative 5% 7% 2% 1% 3% copperhydroxide fungicides, 3 replications. The results showed lowest percentage disease incidence plants treated by fungicides (0.71%). severity found had mean empty grain, (9.11%). gave highest grain production, average 57.50 g.
